Padmé Amidala, obviously, in the red invasion costume from the first movie. It really sucks that you can't put accents in deviation titles.
I absolutely love the Star Wars universe, and the political background plot in the first three movies fascinates me. However, seeing as the totally creepy full story of Palpatine's manipulation of the Senate was cut for excruciatingly poor romantic dialogue and fight scenes with admittedly awesome CGI, I mostly watch Episodes I, II, and III to laugh at all the line delivery and watch Natalie Portman, Ewan MacGregor, Liam Neeson, and Hayden Christiansen be gorgeous. That said, I love Padmé. And not just because her costumes are extraordinarily beautiful, believe it or not. Through the concealing veil of horrific writing, I can see the tiny brilliant manifestation of pure classiness that she was meant to be in TPM. Clearly it's not her fault that she was poorly written. So. I had the general image of this costume and hairpiece in my head, and it was remarkably accurate in a lot of ways, but there was no way I could make it through the detail work on the chest bit without a reference picture. I made some changes due to a combination of laziness and liking the way said changes looked. So, there she is. Not part of any one of the multiple pics I'm supposed to be working on. Awesome. NB: I don't mean to insult anybody who really loves the prelogy, or anything; it's just not to my taste. |
