I keep getting things done, but they aren't the things on my list. I still haven't drawn Sheqaem or Channary, for example, but I'm working on cleaning up a picture of this random desert goddess I doodled in Development of Spoken Language, and then I obviously drew and cleaned up that picture of Padmé, which was nowhere near on my list.

Also, drawing Padmé has done something hurtful to my right ring finger. If I keep going like this, I'm gonna lose my whole right hand by the time I get out for vacation.

There has been a moderate slowdown kind of by necessity, for two reasons. One is that I think I actually killed some of the nerves in my thumb by clutching the tablet pen too tightly and pressing down too hard - both of those are habits that held over from my longhand writing, but I'm not usually writing longhand for hours and hours at a time. The point is, I can't really feel the tip of my right thumb anymore, which is sort of weird and awesome to test and experiment with, but also mildly worrisome. So I'm taking more breaks and spending less time working.

This shouldn't be taken to mean that Jiia's not going to get colored, but I can't really blast through her in six straight hours of work the way I did for Shimira

The second of my reasons is that the case of RDR and Steve Vander Ark vs. JKR has finally come to trial, and I've spent the last three days refreshing the three summary posts on Fandom Wank every two seconds and reading obsessively through all the links. My conclusion is pretty much that Jo is made of utter awesome, and RDR and SVA could not be more failtastic if they were trying, but that's just me.

My newest burst of motivation (and free time, of course) have coincided almost exactly with 2,500 pageviews, which, yay! Awesome, people. You can't all be getting lost. ^^

So, the snake dancer doodle's been cleaned and partially colored, and both the lineart and plain color are up. That leaves:

- Jiia - I kind of miss her, and I think I might've gotten a little better at drawing since I sketched her last
- Same goes for Sheqaem, it's been ages and I suck a little less now
- Some of the characters from my next original NaNo - their names aren't completely settled yet, so they don't get individual listings

- the warrior lady from Psych class (man, that class is great for doodling in)

- Snake dancer person, which includes naming her, so start working on it, brain!

Man, it's been ages. I didn't mean to suddenly go on so extended a hiatus, but I just kept getting busier and busier and never remembering to log in here and check up on stuff, and then, bam, suddenly it's been over a year since my last journal.

I don't think I've finished Gina yet - I'm not actually totally sure where that sketchbook is, now that I think about it. ^^ I'm such a loser.

On the plus side, after going most of this year without drawing a *thing*, some switch in my brain has been flipped, and I've started doodling all over my notes again - I've got a naga dancer girl I just scanned the other day who's cleaning up very nicely, so I might actually put something up soon. Shocker, right? ^^
